Banter with the Bench Recap

On October 10, 2017, the Women Lawyers of Utah hosted its annual Banter with the Bench event. We held the event at the Federal Courthouse in Salt Lake City, and had an amazing turnout, with 9 judges and about 60 attorneys attending. Each year, WLU holds this event to provide an opportunity for women lawyers throughout the community to meet, and have thoughtful discussions with, women judges sitting throughout Utah. Being able to have these discussions in a friendly, informal environment, is an invaluable opportunity that many of the participants thoroughly appreciated.

WLU would like to thank the following judges for participating in this year’s Banter with the Bench: Justice Christine Durham, Judge Diana Hagen, Judge Kate Toomey, Judge Su Chon, Judge Jill Parrish, Judge Kara Pettit, Judge Julie Lund, Judge Shauna Graves-Robertson, and Judge Kathleen Switzer. You are each incredibly inspiring and supportive of women in the legal field, and this event would simply not be possible without you.
