Recollections: Lucy Redd, #30 of Utah’s First 100 Women Lawyers

Born in 1926, Redd received her law degree from the University of Utah in 1948, and the Utah State Bar admitted her in 1949. Redd maintained a private law practice in Salt Lake City for several years. She served as Deputy to Salt Lake County Attorney, Frank E. “Ted” Moss. Redd was elected as Democratic National Committee Woman serving as Chairman of Western States Democratic Conference. She lived in Washington, D.C. for many years, working as an attorney in the Solicitor’s Office of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
